Why this site reads differently
- Every number has a source. Each Durability Table carries a Spec source column linking to the manufacturer page the figure came from, with the date we checked it. Of the nine competitor pages we examined while planning this site, none did that.
- Missing figures stay missing. Where a manufacturer publishes no wind rating, the cell reads "Not published by manufacturer". We do not estimate it and we do not copy one from another listicle — which is why that phrase appears as often as it does here.
- We tell you what we rejected. Every roundup names the models that fell out of the shortlist and the disqualifying reason. It is the cheapest available evidence that a selection actually happened.
- No testing claims, no ratings, no prices. We have no product access, no rating data and no reason to print a price that will be wrong next week. Our methodology sets out exactly what the method can and cannot tell you.
- Wind ratings are treated as conditional, because they are. Every published figure assumes correct anchoring, and the anchoring hardware is almost never in the box. Wind ratings explained is the page that makes the rest of the site make sense.
